Apprenticeships & Internships

Toner Plastics understands how fortunate we are to have a highly trained group of professionals operating our business. We also realize that as our business continues to grow, our employees move further toward retirement. We need a reliable source of talent to fill those positions. Instead of waiting for candidates to apply to a job listing, we decided to create our own “Farm System” by developing an Apprentice Program for our tooling and injection mold making operations. We also have our own internal program that provides hands-on training and rotational assignments to help build a well-rounded employee

With a 70,000 sq. ft. facility in Pittsfield, MA we offer comprehensive solutions from part design and prototyping to assembly and packaging. ISO 9001:2015 certified, Modern Mold & Tool is recognized for its ability to deliver high-quality services tailored to diverse market needs.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Representative to drive sales growth by building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting Modern Mold & Tool’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. This role is ideal for a professional with technical expertise in injection molding and a passion for connecting clients with tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and Qualify Leads: Develop effective lead generation strategies and qualify leads to ensure viability and alignment with company capabilities.
  • Prepare and Deliver Competitive Quotes: Collaborate with internal teams to create accurate and compelling proposals that meet customer requirements while aligning with company goals.
  • Negotiate and Close Sales: Lead contract negotiations, addressing client needs and objections to secure profitable new business.
  • Manage the Sales Pipeline: Manage and grow the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, accurate forecasting, and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Contribute to Strategic Initiatives: Provide market insights, customer feedback, and sales performance data to support strategic planning and decision-making at the organizational level.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales success in the plastics manufacturing industry.
  • Self driven, well-organized, and hard-working.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
  • Technical understanding of injection molding processes and materials.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend industry events.

Compensation, Benefits, and Growth

This position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary and commission. Compensation will be aligned with experience and expertise.
